This 1920's Dutch house sits in one of the most beautiful streets of Scheveningen, surrounded by parks, close to the beach and in the middle of The Hague 's international zone. This environmental palette inspired a juxtaposition of city living with beach atmosphere, and a work environment with holiday ambiance.

​Although the layout already offered lots of cosy spaces, the greatest challenge was to bring natural light into the heart of the house while keeping privacy for each area to suit the family's needs.

We worked on transparency to subtly separate spaces while keeping fluidity. Bespoke furniture was designed to keep a spacious feeling and provide additional storage, living and creatives areas.

A neutral colour scheme and natural materials reinforced the peaceful beach atmosphere.
